You can download the 2011 walk program or browse the walks using the links on the left. Whilst everyone is more than welcome to walk with the group you should read the Club Policy and The Legal Stuff below. They are dull but necessary.

Walk Grades

A+	Hard and / or long walk - ask the leader for details
A	Moderate to hard walks. Over 10 miles
B	Moderate walks of 8 to 9 miles
C	Easy to moderate walks of 5 to 6 miles
D	Very easy “stroller” walks around 3 miles

Club Policy

Dogs are welcome on the walks but some areas (e.g., Bolton Abbey, Boulsworth) do not allow dogs. They should be kept under control at all times so that everyone enjoys the walk.
Walks may have to be changed due to weather or other circumstances. In very bad weather walks may be cancelled. Leaders that are unable to take their own walk will secure a replacement leader.
We encourage car sharing from the meeting point and have a sensible fixed contribution (based on distance) for the drivers’ expenses. Ask at the meeting point if you’re concerned about these costs.
Any member wishing to break away from the walk should inform the walk leader before doing so.

The Legal Stuff

All sporting and leisure activities have inherent hazards associated with them and rambling is no exception. In spite of the safety of members always being the paramount concern accidents will occasionally occur. It is important therefore that, when entering into the activity, each member appreciates that they have a responsibility to identify the hazards associated with the activity and take all reasonable precautions to eliminate or minimise the potential for an accident to arise.
